The company Intra has been known in Latvia since 1994 when the first company with such name was registered. The main activity of the firm has to do with construction, designing, manufacture and delivery of technically complex equipment and life-support systems for buildings and constructions. Intra specializes in the execution of technically complex orders, frequently offering its clients not only the skillful construction and erection works, but also innovative engineering and designing solutions.

Intra was created as an assembly firm in the natural gas industry. The founders of the company Yuris Upmatsis and Aldis Butsens are both certificated engineers with a special education in the sphere of life-support for buildings and work experience in the respective branches since 1978. The narrowness of the construction market in the beginning of 1990’s made the firm expand the spectrum of the rendered services – Intra conducted works on installation and construction of gas and heat supply systems, water and sewerage pipelines. Soon Intra became a universal company with the staff of highly skilled experts and workers in the field of construction of engineering communications. Later on several more companies formed within it, which were incorporated in the holding company.

Structuring of work in directions transformed Intra into the modern holding company focused on high standards of service and satisfaction of consumers. The strong point of the firm is the comprehensive approach to the technical solutions and the versatility of the services. Integration of the administrative functions within the holding company raises an overall performance efficiency of all companies.
